Act Too Online
Outstanding Services for People with Learning Disabilities

One of our main goals at Act Too is to support & encourage people with learning disabilities to become more integrated into the community at large.

Firstly we enable users of our services to develop the skills & abilities they need to become more integrated into the community.

Secondly, through our community & work based projects we offer opportunities to people with learning disabilities to work alongside people who may not have learning disabilities.

Actors in our theatre companies get to work with: other actors; technicians; theatre management; casting agents; TV & film directors.

DJs in our ReWired Djs project work alongside mainstream DJs, promoters & club staff whilest playing to mixed audiences.

Our 'Training the Professionals' service gives our service users the chance help train doctors, nurses, careworkers & psychologists. In doing this they work side by side with other trainers, actors & professionals on an equal footing.

Our 'Community Connexion' service gives users of our services a regular one to one session with an  member of the Act Too team. Their purpose is to support & encourage the individual to get more out of & contribute more to the community around them.

Integration.

It's an important part of improving the quality of life for our service users.

It's something we're passionate about.

It's what we do.
